Aspect's School Network: Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) has grown to become Australia's largest national educational program for children on the autism spectrum. Aspect currently has 9 independent schools operating across 50 locations in NSW and South Australia that cater for over 1,200 students. We have more than 100 specialist Autism classes hosted on the grounds of partnership schools in less specialised settings.
About the role: Reporting to the National Director Education, this is a newly created opportunity for someone with an interest in project management to utilise their exceptional organisation and planning skills to provide an executive level of administrative, project planning, team support and services to ensure efficiency, outstanding workflow and executive productivity is at its peak. Key Responsibilities:
- Support education office projects and those of other staff when required by the National Director Education
- Monitor progress and report to the National Director Education and or education executives on various projects and action items, undertake investigation, research and analysis of sensitive and confidential matters
- Undertake a variety of research, project and committee support activities, including coordination and preparation of plans, reports, correspondence and other documentation
- Effectively manage, lead and develop the other Admin Support Officers in the efficient running of the Education Support office.
- Be the central point of communication for the Office of the National Director Education by assisting in the management of the flow of information to and from the National Director Education, including telephone calls and emails.
- Support the preparation of documentation for the Board & Board Committees.
- Assist with the financial, human resources and administrative operations of the Education office, including skilled use of Microsoft Office applications and Aspect management systems.
Skills, experience and qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience to provide executive assistance
- Basic project management, and planning skills including event management with the ability to coordinate various project teams under the Director Education
- Contribute innovative thinking to improving efficiencies and to support project planning and implementation
- Demonstrated ability to quickly understand strategic priorities and influence key stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (written & oral) and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to display initiative to achieve outcomes with minimal supervision
- Management skills to support the recruitment, induction and mentoring processes for new staff
- Resourcefulness and demonstrated digital/technical capabilities
A National Police Check clearance is a requirement and Aspect will arrange this.
