  • Base salary $78-114k + special education allowance $3,392 p.a. (pro rata for part time employment) 

 

 

Starting a new job straight out of University can be daunting.  Well don’t worry, we’ve got you! We understand that you may be studying and are not ready to teach quite yet. Joining as a Teacher's Aide is a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your teaching career with Aspect and transition to a teaching role when you are ready! We have both teacher and casual teacher aide roles available in our nine schools. 

Aspect are leaders in education for children on the autism spectrum. Class sizes are small and always have the assistance of a dedicated teacher aide. You will learn about the ACA which is Aspects comprehensive approach to the way we support people. You will work closely in a team that includes the student, family, teacher aide and other professionals such as our school psychologist, speech therapists and occupational therapists to develop and deliver quality learning programs. What we are looking for:

  • NESA registration to teach in NSW (not required for Teacher's Aide)
  • Special Education qualification/s are preferred
  • Passion for working with students on the autism spectrum or other intellectual disability
  • NSW Working With Children Check clearance for paid employment
  • Depending on the school's location/requirements it may be essential to have a current driver's license
  • A Light Rigid (LR) driver's license is desirable
  • You may be required to provide an International Police Check clearance
