What you will do:

Aspect is a leader in education for children on the autism spectrum. Working at Aspect means you will be supported by a team of passionate professional educators. You will help create a learning environment that tailors to the individual needs of students through evidence informed best practice in autism. Class sizes are small and you always have the assistance of a dedicated SSO. You will learn about the ACA which is Aspect's comprehensive approach to the way we support people. You will work closely in a team that includes the student, family, SSO and other professionals such as our school psychologist, speech therapists and occupational therapists to develop and deliver quality learning programs. This wrap-around multi-disciplinary approach to support means that you will gain new skills and work experience that can help you reach your professional goals.

About the School:       

Aspect Treetop School provides placement for up to 85 students on the autism spectrum.  The school caters for all abilities across the spectrum for students from Reception to Year 10.                                                                                                          

What we are looking for:

  • Recognised University or Tertiary teaching qualifications (as determined by the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia)
  • Special Education qualification/s are preferred
  • Experience working with students on the autism spectrum or other intellectual disability
  • Current South Australian Working With Children Check 
  • Responding to Risks of Harm Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) training certificate
  • Valid South Australian Driver's Licence
  • You may be required to provide an International Police Check clearance
