Aspect's School Network: Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) has grown to become Australia's largest national educational program for children on the autism spectrum, with 9 independent schools operating from 67 locations in NSW and South Australia catering to approximately 1,200 students. Aspect is looking for passionate, enthusiastic and flexible teachers to work as members of person-centered multi-disciplinary teams. 

About the School: Aspect Treetop School provides placement for up to 66 students on the autism spectrum. The school caters for all abilities across the spectrum for students from Reception to Year 11.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of student Individual Programs (IPs)
  • Assist with classroom programs, positive behaviour support and community access programs
  • Assist with the integration of students into more inclusive settings
  • Collaborate with school therapists, other professionals and families

Skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Certificate or other relevant tertiary qualification desirable
  • Experience working with children who have a disability in a school setting
  • Experience implementing IP’s
  • Knowledge of transitioning students into mainstream settings
  • Experience with people on the autism spectrum desirable
  • Effective communication skills
  • Current South Australian Working With Children Check 
  • Responding to Risks of Harm Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) training certificate
  • First Aid Certificate desirable
  • Valid SA Driver's Licence

A National Police Check clearance is a requirement and Aspect will arrange this. You may be required to provide an International Police Check clearance.
